Inside a Courage Box, you will find proactive, customizable ingredients that vary monthly. For example, boxes in our Fall Program may include things like journals, books, aromatherapy products, creative outlets, and others specific to Fall's mental wellness themes. If you have pre-ordered a full program, you will also receive an extra item in each box. This is where you might see tea, sweets, and bath and spa items.
Items are chosen for their usefulness. Each tool included can be used to support your mental wellness.
Aside from the physical box, there is also an online component to Courage Box. Every box includes detailed, easy-to-follow instructions, plus access to our community forum, which helps you connect with other subscribers to share your experiences. Contests are held occasionally for subscribers on our forums.
Our community forum is a discussion board that aims to create a safe space for subscribers to connect. You can share your tips and experiences, and find support and motivation amongst others. You can view it here.
If you are ordering a single box or subscribing month-to-month, the box you receive will depend on the date you subscribed. Our cut-off date is the 15th of the month. If you order after the 15th, you will have to wait another month before you receive your box.
That's confusing! So here are some examples:
If you ordered your box between February 16th and March 15th, you will receive the April box.
If you order between March 16th and April 15th, you will receive the May box.
If you are pre-ordering a four-month program, you will start receiving boxes once the program begins. Our Fall Program begins in January.
You can cancel your subscription through your Courage Box account.
If you're having issues, send us a message and we can cancel your subscription for you. Please take note of the date of your last order to see which box will be your last - depending on when your last order was placed, you may still receive another box after you cancel your subscription.
Boxes are typically shipped in the first half of the month. Subscribers are notified by email when their box has been shipped. If you are picking up your box at the University of Saskatchewan Help Centre, you will receive an email notifying you when it will be available.
If you choose to subscribe to Courage Box, you will be charged on the same day every month. For example, if you subscribe on the 12th, you will continue to be billed on the 12th of every month until you decide to cancel.
If you're just not happy with your box, you can return it for a refund within one week of receiving it. You will have to pay for shipping to send it back to us. Once we receive it, you will be refunded.
If you picked up your box at the U of S Help Centre, send us a message and we can arrange for you to drop it off again.
We recognize that mental illness is still stigmatized in Canada, and that people living with mental illness face daily discrimination. We dedicate ourselves to fighting this discrimination by way of education and promoting awareness.
